【释义】善于学习的人如同大海，大旱九年不干枯，接受四面八方的水流也不溢出来。之所以能够如此，正是因为海平面总是处在最低的位置。比喻为人要谦虚，才能学到广博的知识。八州水即喻为广博的知识。
